-Heet Mehta 10D

Don Bosco Matunga’s talent fest, ‘Bosco Kala Utsav’ which took place on 30th August provided a unique platform for exploring individual talent and areas of interest. The Utsav included an English Elocution in which the students were asked to speak on ‘Honesty and hard work – hallmarks of a sportsperson’ and ‘Plastic ban for a better environment’. The Debate was a spectacular event which saw the Green and Yellow House supporting Digital India whereas the Red and Blue House opposing it. The Quiz was an event which tested the students’ knowledge based on the information present in the newspapers such as Times NIE, The Hindu and The Curios Owl. The students were given an opportunity to showcase their unique talents with the help of the Talent Hunt competition. The Spell Bee aimed not only at improving spelling, but also at building vocabulary. An Art and Craft competition was held in each class. The much loved Vocals competition was also very enjoyable. This year’s   Bosco Kala Utsav also had the all new Short Film Making competition in which Std IX prepared a short film on ‘Save the girl child’ and Std X prepared a short film on ‘Save the environment’ which were very impressive.
Meticulous planning and a very high level of creativity and enthusiasm were responsible for the putting up these events. The judges at different competitions were amazed at the talent they witnessed. The Student Council joined hands with the organising committee and diligently helped in ensuring that all the events took place without a hitch. The Bosco Kala Utsav proved to be a success.
