Reflections on Teacher’s Day and Std II Cultural day
A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.
September 9, 2019 was a day dedicated to celebrate the hard-work, sacrifices, guidance and above all the love that our very own teachers have poured out on us students day after day, year after year.
The celebrations began with a solemn mass at the Crypt which was attended by all our teachers to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. We greeted our teacher Mrs Kashmira Rodrigues with a very warm welcome. The students felicitated her with a prayer, a poem and a lovely song. The class monitors and a few other boys handed over a yummy cake, a card and a beautiful plant. I was given an opportunity to hand over a memorable memento to my teacher. The P.T.A. member (my mum) along with a few other parents decorated our teacher with a beautiful crown and a sash. The boys then individually wished our teacher. At the end of the programme in class our teacher then left us with some heartwarming and encouraging words.
The celebrations did not end there. All the sections of the school put up different entertainment programs for the entire staff. The boys of the Primary Section sang a lovely song and I was extremely happy that my family could be a part of organizing this celebration.
I yhank God for the many hands that got together to prepare for this memorable day for our teachers.

“Hands To Serve….. Hearts To Love….”
This beautiful thought coined by our teachers was the theme for our Cultural Day 2019-20. The day consisted of Dance, Drama, Songs and Music. An encouraging message was given by our Rector Rev. Fr. Crispino D’Souza on the Mind and Body. This Cultural Day proved that our boys can enact confidently on any stage in future. Heartfelt thanks to our dear teachers for their hard work, without them it was not possible. This Cultural Day is an unforgettable and memorable day for all of us.
